Bio - Lee McKinney

Drummer Lee McKinney has performed with some great jazz artists, including Greg Abate, Norris Turney, Harold Ashby, Cal Collins, Rusty Bryant, Johnny Lytle and Tony Monaco.  He has also performed with almost every well-known jazz musician in the Dayton, Ohio area.  Along with performing, he also maintains a teaching schedule of private students.

Lee started his music education playing drums and percussion in the school band and taking private lessons starting in the 5th grade.  He later went to the Berklee College of music for a summer, then graduated from Central State University with a Bachelors Of Music in the area of jazz studies.
