Cincinnati Presentations 2011-2012
We are currently accepting applications for free
in-school, educational music presentations in the Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington & Newport, Kentucky
public schools.
All we need is an email from the music teacher or
principal to get things started.

On Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:30p,
world-renowned jazz saxophone artist Greg Abate will perform in a quintet
at Dater Montessori with Marc
Fields on trombone, Lee
McKinney on drums, Phil
DeGreg on piano and Phil
Bowden on
bass.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:15p,
world-renowned jazz saxophone artist Greg Abate will perform in a quintet
at Kilgour Elementary with Marc
Fields on trombone, Lee
McKinney on drums, Phil
DeGreg on piano and Phil
Bowden on
bass.

On Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 1p,
world-renowned jazz saxophone artist Greg Abate will perform in a quintet
at Sands Montessori with Marc
Fields on trombone, Lee
McKinney on drums, Phil
DeGreg on piano and Phil

world-renowned jazz saxophone artist Greg Abate will perform in a quintet
at Roselawn Condon with Marc
Fields on trombone, Lee
McKinney on drums, Phil
DeGreg on piano and Phil

The six presentations we just did in
August through December, 2011 (below) were attended by nearly 2,000 Cincinnati Public School students

On Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 1p at Bond Hill Academy,
an amazing thing happened. Blues guitarist Noah
Wotherspoon performed with world-renowned trumpeter Gary Winters, Brian Aylor on drums, Da'Rosa Hathaway
Richardson on keyboards, Rob Thaxton on bass, Marcos Sastre on guitar, Casey Ott on guitar and Ben Walkenhauer on saxophone. And, Philip Paul joined them performing "Hideaway" and "Tore Down" in a tribute to King
Studio legend Freddy "The Texas
Cannonball" King being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
this coming April, 14, 2012. Philip Paul was Freddy's drummer at King Studio,
including both of these
songs.
By the
time we finished, all of the students were dancing in the bleachers
!!!
