Welcome to BigJoeDuskin.org !!!

Music education for young
children seems to be considered a luxury in America. Absolutely not. It is a requirement, just like
Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. Click here to find out how "learning to play a musical instrument changes the
brain, leading to a slew of potential benefits, including improved learning and understanding of
language."

In the panel on the left, you'll find
pages with all the info on the great things we've been doing. 5,000+ Cincinnati, Ohio, USA elementary students saw our presentations in the 2011-2012 school year. And 8,000+ students saw our presentations in
Columbus, Ohio, USA that we funded thru the Jazz Arts Group. We also
donated $3,000 to the World Piano Competition's Bach-Beethoven-Brahms program
for inner-city school children and just increased that to $5,000 for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. We also
worked with the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center to
support their Summer 2012 music program.
Of course, you'll also find some
great history about boogie-woogie pianist Big Joe Duskin. Enjoy your visit and let us know if you have any questions or info we
could add to the website.

Our mission
is:
"To provide educational music experiences and
encouragement to participate in school band for as many public elementary students as possible, primarily
using local professional
musicians."
~~~~~
You need to have money to be able to spend
it. That's why we go out of our way to make as much money as we can, so we can pay musicians $125 each
to perform in public elementary schools and encourage kids to join their school
band.
